چکیده

We report the discovery of an expanding cylinder HI gas radius 1 kpc and vertical extent 800 pc by analyzing 21-cm line survey data from literature. The is at 150 km s$^{-1}$ rotating 100 s$^{-1}$, interpreted as due to a high-velocity conical wind $\sim 180$ Galactic Center. total mass estimated be 8.5\times 10^5 M_\odot$ kinetic energy 3\times 10^{53}$ ergs.

Miras around the Galactic Center

We report results of our near-IR survey for variables in a field of view of 20′ by 30′ towards the Galactic Center (GC), where we detected 1364 long-period variables. We have established a method for the simultaneous estimation of distances and extinctions using the period-luminosity relations for the JHKs bands. Our method is applicable to Miras with periods in the range 100–350 days and mean ...

Anisotropy Studies around the Galactic Center

We present the first results for anisotropy searches around the galactic center at EeV energies using data from the Pierre Auger Observatory. Our analysis, based on a substantially larger data set, do not support previous claim of anisotropy found in this region by the AGASA and Sugar experiment. Furthermore we place un upper limit on a possible point like source located at the galactic center ...

Infalling Gas towards the Galactic Center

VLA maps of ammonia emission were made for the Galactic Center region. The NH3(1,1) and NH3(2,2) transitions were observed in three 2 ×2 fields covering Sgr A and the region 3 immediately south of it. In the central 3 parsecs surrounding Sgr A we find emission which appears to be associated with the circumnuclear disk (CND), both morphologically and kinematically. This central emission is conne...

Hot Molecular Gas in the Galactic Center

Using the new 23 GHz receivers at the Very Large Array (VLA), we have detected NH3(6,6) emission (ν = 25.056025 GHz) from hot (> 150 K) molecular clouds in the central 10 pc of the Galaxy. This is the first successful detection of NH3(6,6) with the VLA. The brightest emission comes from a region interior to the “circumnuclear disk” (CND), less than 1.5 pc in projected distance from Sgr A*. This...

Cold H 2 O and Co Ice and Gas toward the Galactic Center

We present observations of CO, CO and of H2O in the middle and far-infrared taken with the ISO-SWS and ISO-LWS spectrometers toward two positions in the Galactic Center region (Sgr A and GCS-3). Both ice and gas phase molecules are detected. The ISO data have been complemented with observations of the J=3-2 and J=7-6 lines of CO carried out at the Caltech Submillimeter Observatory. The ISO and ...
